Muscari négligé

Perennial bulbous plant native to Eurasia
There are about 60 species of grape hyacinth found mainly in the Mediterranean region.
The leaves are very narrow, semi-cylindrical with a central groove; as opposed to M. botryoidal which has shorter, wider leaves.

Used medicinally for centuries; seeds and dried leaves are used in a tea as a diuretic; leaves are made into a poultice as an emollient for wounds
Flowers were spread on doorways and woven into garlands for celebrating May Day
Leaves are used in soups because they are mucilaginous and therefore naturally thickening

Palmately lobed leaves
