Cat's ear, False dandelion
Poroelle enracinée
All parts are edible, but leaves and roots are most
commonly eaten. Roots can be roasted and ground to form a coffee substitute.
Dandelion leaves are more jagged, cat’s ear leaves are
ciliate, marginally fringed with hairs. Cat’s ears flowering stalk is usually
branched, dandelions are not.
